i have been around sports my whole life. and the one thing i know i know is umpires decide ball games. im waiting for one time a manager to come out and jaw an umpire and make him relize hey i will kick your a$$ if you make a bad call. i belive if this ever happened you would see less blown calls cause there scared they would get jawwed. i mean its getting reduclous of the amount of bad calls. i watched the yankee redsox game and it was horrible. so yeah how belive this would help. but it will only work if the teams support there manager and bring them back.

number one im a braves fan and a cubs fan. number two if yall pay any attention to the games you will see what im saying. i hate the yankees they got ripped on calls and so did the redsox. i know there is human error in calling games. i know i call soccer football and basketball. but i do know that they dont care and they need to be taught a lesson. so what yall arent understanding is. if you were screwing a team on perpuse and you knew you were doing and everybody knew you were doing it somebody comforted you about it. you would get mad. if you did it to me. you would be laid out on the field. if i loose its one thing. im not going to get screwed by somebody just cause they hold the power. its time some of the umpires quit screwing the teams cause they can.

Yeah a manager should do it and probably will and if so i vote for Lou Pinella( but he will probably throw a base at the ump).

OK! I have been around baseball my whole life as a player, coach and umpire (The 1st 2 I still do!) Rule 1 that refs, umps, officials ...etc are human and make human mistakes! I thought I would never blow a call I would be fair all the time but it is impossible to be perfect in this field! You have to have an extra set of eyes to see it all! But this is what makes sports so great because humans are the players and officials not some robot! Let me also add that it is wise not make an official look bad! When I ump and a coach or manager gives me crap about a call and I know I am right on it then his team's strike zone gets a little bigger when at bat and a little smaller when they're in the field! It's like going to a restaurant and complaining that the what ever you order is crap and making a scene! Another not to bright idea remember you don't control what they do when they're out of view! Let's just say I worked as a bartender for 15 years and I have seen some crazy stuff done to ****** customers! (psst and they didn't know it!) Also if a coach ever threw a punch at an ump or if they ever threw one at me well lets say it wouldn't be pretty for them!

You are making the assumption that the umpires always have the ability to make the exact correct call and if the call goes the other way they are doing it for a reason. I just can't agree with your premise. I also can't agree that violence of any kind is the answer. I really don't like the idea of technology taking the place of the umpire or implementing some plan that turns three hour games into four hour games. Your not going to like my answer but I like the game the way it is. Sure there are going to be some bad calls and managers and players are going to argue with umpires and the instant replay will show the umpire got the call wrong, but it's all part of the game we love and the best teams will be there come playoff time.

Rule 9 governs umpires, and it begins with the statement that the umpires are responsible for keeping order on the field.
The problem isn't with the umpires, but with the players and managers who think that entitlement is a bonus clause in every contract, an attitude that is picked up and carried by far too many fans.
Further, the actions and threats that you have outlined are criminal acts in most jurisdictions.
Officials decide nothing when it comes to game results. Officials don't play the game, and if the team decides to give up if a call has gone in the opposition's favour, they have a real problem.

Well, it seems to me that you are an idiot. Like it or not, officials decide games with blown or missed calls in virtually every sport, not just baseball. Secondly threatening to kick an umpires a ss is only going to result in a lengthy suspension from the league and possible firing by your own organization for doing something so idiotic in the first place. I think possibly the only thing more idiotic than what you are saying is the quality of your spelling. Maybe you are a Yankee or a Red Sox fan seeing as most of them seem to be a few brain cells short anyways.

So, you're a Cubs and Braves fan - sounds like you chose your teams because of cable tv.
Pre-meditated physical confrontations would ruin the sport. Blown calls are part of he game so accept it. If you want fisticuffs, walk into any bar near Fenway Park and yell "Hey, the Red Sox Suck!"

Why do you think decking some-one would help?, there would be a hugh fine for that person and then baseball would never be the same. I agree with you, they do suck sometimes but you have too go with the flow. Maybe if we protest they will wise up.

I agree about the bad calls... there are way too many,
but you can't resort to violence.
If the mlb let that kind of thing happen,
I would be so disappointed.
That would be terrible.
