Well, forest fires can account for around 20% of all the excess carbon in the atmosphere. Volcanos contribute some, and the oceans as previously stated, very little actually. Alot of the excess CO2 is a result of cars, and the burning of other fossil fuels to heat/cool houses and in manufacturing. Dont believe that man contributes very little to excess CO2, the facts are very clear that mans actions have a great impact on the amount of atmospheric CO2.

Oceans. Most carbon Dioxide is stored in or released from oceans around the world and this has the greatest effect on the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Others large areas are Vegetation and volcanoes. Humans are very small contributor in this area.

Furthermore, CO2 has been up to 20X higher in the past, without causing global warming, or any other climate disasters.

Finally, the rise in harmless CO2 (a tiny trace gas) is causing agricultural productivity to rise in lockstep with the rise in CO2. That greatly assists the world's poor, who cannot afford the steep rises in food costs that would result from reducing CO2 in the atmosphere.

A new poll showed that the state of Texas is the worst CO2 polluter of any state due to burning coal. In fact if Texas was its own country, it would rank 7th among all the countries of the world in CO2 pollution. This is a per capita ranking.
