Sorry but the answer to this is no! As an owner of 2 private plates I also need to adhere to the law and not use my plates to make a car appear newer, this is exactly what DVLA would believe you were trying to achieve by fitting 56 plates to a far older Mondeo. Hope this helps.
***hey folks just so you know he is meaning to fit a newer mondeo bumper to an older model and not just a switch of number plates , I misunderstood the question and just wanted to ensure future answerers know what he means. Cheers J.***

have you ever checked the air and gasoline filter out? slow or impossible to rev surpassed 2000rpm isn't indicative of a faster situation. A fifty one plate mondeo diesel must be a TDDI, despite if that's a 130HP, it must be the raise pump on the gasoline tank. those are are as complicated because of the fact the subsequent motor vehicle and could be appeared at via a qualified diagnostician. guess artwork might finally end up costing you extra suitable than taking it to a Ford agent for an preliminary diagnosis.

The bodywork and lamps are unchanged.
Therefore the bumper from the later car should fit the earlier car.
However, you may also need to fit the grille from the later car, as that changed at the same time as the bumper.

Simple answer is yes---
The mountings seem to be the same, bodywork is same and without trying it you might get away with same grill
