What is it like to live in Central Valley?

I am moving to Fresno tonight and I have never been there before. Please tell me what's it like! Thank you!

Two words I use to describe the Central Valley:
1. pancake
2. oven
It's flat as a pancake and hot as an oven in the summertime.

be prepared to live in a sauna. It is hot, dang hot. Wait...did I mention hot? average hi in july is 97. and the record is 115. june through sept is usually in the high 80s to high 90s daytime. and low only down to mid 60s.
