No. If you gave it your best shot, in my opinion, you are a winner. The same applies to everything and everyone else.

I would only consider you a loser if you tripped the REAL 2nd place runner to get across the line first! lol...But seriously, I wouldn't be thinking too much about you at that moment, I woudl be celebrating my own victory. And knowing myself, I would give thanks and be grateful that on THAT day, at THAT moment, I bested the others in the race. I would also be fully aware that I could have just as easily been second across the line....or last. There are too many factors to bank only on our own ability. Whoever finishes the race and does his or her personal best is a winner. Loser has become a very unkiind adjective for people and too commonly declared by others, without compassion or respect.
And I am personally not a great runner, so it would be a downright MIRACLE for me to win! lol.... : )

No, that would be rude since you probably ran the best you could. Also, I could have been having a great day and you a bad one. I would most likely turn to you and say good race or something like that.

No I would thank you to make me a winner. I know in my heart that for me to be a winner or a first ,there has to be some one else to make it happen.A majority of things in this world are relative and not absolute. Any way, thanks for conceding the first position to me,even if it's theoretical.

Just because someone can run faster than you do ,doesn't make you a "loser'.

I would not consider you a looser. I won but that doesn't make you a looser it just means you didn't win that race.
