The properties that depend on the amount of the substance taken are called extrinsic properties. Those which are not dependent on the amount are the intrinsic properties.

The extrinsic properties are mass, volume, etc. The more the amount of the substance, the greater is the value for these properties.

The intrinsic properties are density, temperature. These properties read the same, whether you consider a gram or a tonne of the substance.

Intrinsic propery is a property which do not depend on mass
ex: density

An extrinsic property depends on the mass of matter present

ex : volume , mass
