I think that it's equal..Because even though a man might work in the feild, a woman may work in the house..And it's my understanding that taking care of children is really tough..And, not to mention childbirth..You would have to be pretty tough to put up with labor pangs..
However, to toil all the days of your life (as a man SHOULD DO), is pretty tough also..
I would like to think that men and women are both equal because we all come from a womb, and return to the ground(worm-food)..Some later than others but we all carry about the same capacity (in general), have the same needs but we think differently..
Hey, I posted a question in society/culture that I want you to read..So read it (please).
And that guy with the never-ending story above used retarded as if he knew what it meant..lol

I actually believe it is equal. Men and women both have tough issues to deal with and women could make the argument that it's tougher to have children and raise them on their own. I think emotionally, men are a bit stronger, but women are emotional creatures.
Each group has different pressures to deal with, so it wouldn't be fair to say one is stronger than the other. According to studies though, women are more inclined to attempt suicide than men. But men are more successful at taking their own lives. So I guess you can look at it several ways. Each personality is different and some can deal with problems better than others, whether they be a man or a woman.

Of course most women would believe that women are, it likely stems from a desire to top men.
As for the answer, it really depends by what you mean by "stronger."
You discounted strength; intelligence, what kind? A man's brain is more apt for subjects and situations that require focus, whereas a woman's is more apt for subjects that require mental "multi-tasking." Both have their place. Verbally, women tend to be stronger. Spatially, men tend to be stronger. Men's lobes are larger, whereas most women's corpus collosums are larger than men's. However, there are exceptions to the rule, Theodore Roosevelt could devour two or three books in a day, while dictating a couple of letters and dealing with the business at hand that came with being President, and there have been some strong female mathematicians.
If you argue IQ, for every woman who has an intelligence of 125, there are two men. When you get to an IQ of 155, it goes from two, to 5.5 for every one woman. But, this goes both ways, there are also more boys that fall under "retarded." So, on average, men are either extremely intelligent, or extremely dumb, whereas women tend to hover in a middle area.
Women live longer than men, this is a given, since there are complications from having large amounts of testosterone. But, men can reproduce until they die, women have a limited time.
As far as pain threshold, women actually feel pain more than men, and men handle it better. If anyone wants to bring up the "well, you try squeezing a watermelon out of a hole the size of a lemon!" My sister has...twice. She has also SCRATCHED her Achilles' tendon with the pedal of a bicycle after flipping over on it, which do you think that she'd prefer to go through again if she had the choice? That's right, there are things more painful in this world than labor, ladies.
Now, if you'd like to specify what kind of strength you are speaking of, outside of physical, please do so.
Edit/Add: "Looking at the crap that many women live though with Dormestic Violence - and I's suggest women."
Read, my dear. You will find that men can be victims of domestic violence from women, just as much as women are from men. Men actually live through it, and are less likely to say anything about it because they'll likely be laughed at and disbelieved.

If you're talking emotionally - then men are better at hiding them but women are definitely stronger in that department. Some men can be very strong emotionally but then it builds up inside them and they finally have to crack. Women on the other hand let it out in moderation usually and even if men are trying to hide their emotions, you can almost always tell by their eyes. If you take the time to look men in the eyes and pay attention to what you're seeing then you'll see their emotions and they aren't very strong. They are just big saps lol

Really depends on the person, not the gender. Truly I have seen some men who are so whiny and immature and it's like pulling teeth to get them to work or think for themselves. Weak-minded, weak-spirit.
I have seen women who would cry at the drop of a hat. Like their boyfriend or husband is angry with them and so the world is over. Weak-minded, weak-spirit.
I have also seen men who have overcome violent childhoods and become wonderful husbands and fathers and contribute positively to their societies. And I have seen woman who have survived the death of a spouse and were strong for their children and their future.
So it really depends on the person no the gender.

It does not depend on men or women but any one can be strong some time men and sometime women. It same like if some one ask whose face is beautiful men or women? but when we talk about beauty it can be found anywhere. In this same way Strong sex can be found in women and men both equally.

Men and women, both have their own strengths and weaknesses, relatively speaking.Since they are naturally complimentary as well as supplementary to each other, they together form a force which is unmatched in this universe. No,what you think that you truly believe needs reconsideration on your part.

It has to be women...
Coz even though we stand so much more pains and emotional drains, we didnt ask for any of them, but still carry the with our heads held up high.
Men on the other hand exert these certain pains on themselves to further stroke their ego's and prove that they're the strongest.
What do we have to prove? We weren't given the chance to choose proof. We just have to be strong...
