yes. i am that kind of person, actually. people find me really nice and kind because they think i dont easily get mad, but i was just hiding the anger deep inside, raging. and yes, i believe that we're more prone to depression, because i've been there--depression--most of the time.

depends on where you leave them!
It is proven tough, that suppressing feelings does cause problems - psychologists call it psychosomatic illness
People suffer from depression, headaches, body rashes, stress, etc
they don't necessarily become resentful or bitter tough! They can keep ot suppressed perfectly but it will coem out in other ways!
Freud has an excellent metaphor for it actually! He wasn't as wacky as some think lol!

Yes, both can be depressed. It isn't always a personality case. Your genetics and your brain chemicals are a huge factor.
It would be great if people could let it out and not be depressed, unfortunately it doesn't work that way.
Pick up a book about depression...the information really is interesting.
I wish being an openbook would be all you need. That is my personality...I also get depressed often...

It's a universally-accepted psychological principle.

Doesn't mean every person who does so will become like that though ofcourse, it's just that its universally accepted that it's not "healthy" to keep all one's issues (large or small) bottled up.

right, so it is best to let out any pent-up emotions that you have in order for you to be free of any resentments. besides, LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL. go with the flow rather than living in the shadows of sad memories.

They choose to keep it in because they know that majority of people will not understand them.

I am deeply philosophical and intelligent and only people on my wavelength truly understand me. Majority of people I meet are superficial and lack depth to their character and that is why I do not share things with them.
