This depends on where you are.

Civil marriage do not take in to account religion or casts.

So if the location allows it you can get married there. Some location do allow it.

I have few articles on this subject but I will enclose one for you to read and understand the reason why I do not recommend such marriages, between close relatives or brothers and sisters.

You are right about getting married, this is true in some Hindu community, and many other communities also.

Marriages between cousins must be avoided, even when local law permits it.

Based on long time, years of experience and medical evidence to support, these today. Related people must not get married as a rule, the further apart the relationship batter it is for offspring.

Children of related people have a very high chance of inheriting hereditary deceases, there is also conflict of genes that causes other problems like still born babies and mental and physical defects. At the best it causes inbreeding and weak strain of human propagation.

Genetically, parent brother's children and parents sister's children (Kaka, Masi) are the next closest to brother and sisters, so they cannot get married, must not get married, should not get married.

As a Hindu you can marry this Christian girl without her changing her religion to Hinduism or you converting to Christianity only under the Special Marriage Act, 1954. But according to this Act, you two are in relationship within the degree of prohibition as per THE FIRST SCHEDULE of the Act Part 1 34. Father's brother's daughter, hence such a marriage will not be allowed by the marriage officer/registrar under this Act. Similarly if she converts to Hinduism you still cannot marry her for the same reason applicable under the conditions of valid Hindu Marriage under section 5 of the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955. If you convert to Christianity, the provision of the Indian Christian Marriage Act,1872 prohibits any issue of certificate to such a marriage as Cleary provide under section 42 of the said Act (a) that he or she believes that there is no any impediment of kindred or affinity, or other lawful hindrance, to the said marriage. Here too the girl is in relation to you hence there is legal impediment of kindred or affinity exists in your case. So all in all you cannot marry this girl legally in India.

personally, I have no objection of cross-religion marriage but u need to know that both of you will be under a lot of pressure.

Marry her if you love her and she love you. Having a life together, however, takes more than love. It takes a lot of work and faith. If you choose to marry, you are gonna need her support and she would need yours.

Other than religion and family, I think you have another problem on hand. You are first cousins. Research has shown that there is a higher chance of you having abnormal children (down-syndrom, physically disabled, etc) than other couples. Think about it, if you are prepared for it, I would wish you happiness.

It's your choice how you want to live your life.

Marrying your cousin would be considered incestuous. Also, it appears from your avatar you are a female, so it would also be a same-sex marriage, wish I'm sure must go against Hindu beliefs.

If she is now Christian, you cannot proceed as a Hindu. Find yourself a nice Hindu girl.

Get married if both of you want to .You are marrying a human being NOT his / her caste or his / her religion . Hope for the best and good luck.

You can't get married in most US states. Her being Christian and you being Hindu would most likely cause a lot of problems as well.
