Unless a person is a musical genius no instrument is easy to learn. But as SG had said, some instruments beckon stronger than others.
Because I understand music theory I can figure out the piano keyboard, but that doesn't mean I can play it proficiently. Simple melodies and chords are more my style with the keyboard.
I learned to play the guitar and 5-string banjo, however, because I was more motivated to learn them.

If you have a musical talent you'll pick things up a lot quicker. I started to play guitar when I was 10 and haven't put in down since. I've never been more than a two finger player on a keyboard - can't get the knack somehow. But guitar.... took to it like a fish to water. I guess you just need to find the instrument for you and a good teacher to begin with.

It is quite easy to learn to play the keyboards!
Music is widely available, and there are lots of teachers, learn-to-play books and dvd's available for use.
The best way to find these useful items are going to your local music shop, they will have music and learning aids, also they may have a notice board on which local teachers can advertise their work and seek more jobs!
Good Luck!

after you learn the keys and learn how to read music, yes.. It;s all a matter of memorization on a keyboard. You can get the one that lights up the keys you need to press to help you learn, which makes it a little easier.. i had a teacher from the age 7, and now 19 and still play it very often, it's fun!

I've played piano, clarinet (!) and guitar.
I have to say the most satisfying by far is the guitar. Its so easy to get yourself to a reasonably competent standard. Like any instrument it is hard to master, but basic stuff is well easy. Therefore it is very satisfying to learn as within a couple of months you'll be able to play most of your favourite songs.

Not really, if you are 'talented' you will find it easier than someone who isn't, but even the most talented have to put a lot of effort in . A good tutor is a must.
I am so glad my parents made me have piano lessons as a child as I am lucky to of retained much of what I learned, I now have time to play again and it has been hard to get going, but practice makes perfect!
If it was that easy EVERYBODY would be able to do it! :)

No, it is not easy............it took me several years to learn to read music and to play the piano. My parents had me take lessons for six years.
Is a blessing to learn music........it enriches one's life tremendously. It is worth each and every effort one makes.
