1. I'm addicted 2. I do know what it does to me, but because of answer to q 1. I find it hard to apply those facts to how it might affect me in the future. 3. Probably quite a lot, but I can't give you a number! 4. I smoke between 5 and 10 a day, it depends on the day. I smoke more if I'm out and drinking, not so much now, because of the smoking ban! 5. Very hard, I've tried several times with different methods. I always have an excuse, - I'll stop next week is the usual one! But if it came to having an illness I guess it would knock some sense into me! 6. Nicotine acts on the receptors of the brain causing a stimulant 'effect' when the nicotine depletes in your body and on the receptors, you need another 'hit' to induce the stimulant effect, and a vicious circle ensues! 7. No I really want to give up, but my will power is very weak. I DON'T want being a smoker to be part of my identity! I hope this helps! : ) Just wondering, why you didn't ask the question 'why did you start smoking' ?

1 NO
2 YES
3 Doesn't make any difference in how much people will smoke.
4. I smoked my first cigarette at age 56,.
5 Because I was fed up with people lecturing the smokers, who are quite obviously addicted and know all the reasons that they should stop and try over and over to stop.
I smoked it to be annoying to them! Do I smoke now? NO!
But I think that smokers are human and have been trapped by their own human foolishness and advertising.
Moreover there are much more damaging things being dumped into our food chain and atmosphere. We need to be a little more proactive on that front and a little less obsessive about smokers!

I have never smoked. My mother and sister are heavy smokers, and I am not for raising prices because that forces people to buy worse quality cigarettes rather than make them want to quit, and it is even worse for their health that way!

1. No
2. Yes
3. No, they seem really high now, and I'm opposed to new taxes on anything. The only real positive I can see is the high price being a deterrent, but it doesn't seem to be.
