I can make my answer as utterly pointless as any question. That's what we're here for. Cheers!

Here's my view on the subject after having thought about that before...you get 2 points for an Answer and many members just starting out are naturally wanting to get their point totals up as quickly as they can...it's the game we play here on Answers.
So, when I ask a Question and someone answers with some kind of nonsense, I just accept it for what it is...pointless, irrelevant but having served the purpose of getting a couple of points for a member who perhaps had no clue as to what the answer was but however, did achieve a result from answering. If the 2 points awarded someone for answering were in turn deducted from MY points, then I would feel differently. But, the way it is, if someone wants to give me a ridiculous or stupid answer just to get a couple of points...then, so be it.

Well, I think that didn't hapen until October 1926 in Oslo and then didn't happen again until the June 1981 incident in San Francisco. But, of course, you knew that anyway.

Sometimes you just gotta push that line that binds the fabric of what space is left for us to see the error in our ways and make a better path for our Children.

Some people really make an effort here when they can, whereas others are just gaming, I suppose.

Actually, it can be a violation if the person does not answer the question that is asked.
