An INTERVIEW with GOD

I dreamed I had an interview with God. "Come in," God said

to me, "So, you would like to interview with me.
"If you have the time," I said.
God smiled and said: "My time is called eternity and is

enough to do everything; what questions do you have in mind

to ask me?"
"None that are new to you. What's the one thing that

surprises you most about mankind?"

God answered: "That they get bored of being children, are

in a rush to grow up, and then long to be children again.
That they lose their health to make money and then lose

their money to restore their health.
That by thinking anxiously about the future, they forget the

present, such that they live neither for the present nor the

future.
That they live as if they will never die,
and they die as if they had never lived..."

God's hands took mine and we were silent.
After a long period, I said, "May I ask you another

question?"
"As a Parent, what would you ask your children to do?"

God replied with a smile:
"To learn that they cannot make anyone love them.
What they can do is to let themselves be loved.
To learn that it takes years to build trust, and a few

seconds to destroy it.
To learn that what is most valuable is not what they have in

their lives, but who they have in their lives.

To learn that it is not good to compare themselves to

others.
There will be others better or worse than they are.
To learn that a rich person is not one who has the most, but

is one who needs the least.
To learn that they should control their attitudes, otherwise

their attitudes will control them.
To learn that it only takes a few seconds to open profound
wounds in persons we love, and that it takes many years to

heal them.
To learn to forgive by practicing forgiveness.
To learn that there are persons that love them dearly, but

To learn that money can buy everything but happiness.
To learn that while at times they may be entitled to be

upset, that does not give them the right to upset those

around them.
To learn that great dreams do not require great wings, but a

landing gear to achieve.
To learn that true friends are scarce, he/she who has found

one has found a true treasure.
To learn that it is not always enough that they be forgiven

by others, but that they forgive themselves.
To learn that they are masters of what they keep to

themselves and slaves of what they say.
To learn that they shall reap what they plant; if they plant

gossip they will harvest intrigues, if they plant love they

will harvest
happiness.
To learn that true happiness is not to achieve their goals

but to learn to be satisfied with what they already

achieved.
To learn that happiness is a decision. They decide to be

happy with what they are and have, or die from envy and

jealousy of what they lack.
To learn that two people can look at the same thing and see
something totally different.
To learn that those who are honest with themselves without
considering the consequences go far in life.
To learn that even though they may think they have nothing

to give, when a friend cries with them, they find the

strength to appease the pain.
To learn that by trying to hold on to loved ones, they very

quickly push them away; and by letting go of those they To

learn that even though the word "love" has many different
meanings, it loses its value when it is overstated.

Whether there is a god or not is a controversial subject. We have a being that is, supposedly, al powerful, that created everything, and controls everything. What was created by it directly is a question. Did he, as is said in the bible, create the world and its people in seven day ( divine intelligence)? What is a day to god? Scientists say that creation lasted millions of years (evolution). Some people say there is no god, that things just happened.
Never-the-less, we have need of a being that we believe can fix our woes. The bible come from tales passed down though the ages and finally put into writing. Now, have you ever played the game "telephone". Have you noticed how at the end the message is not the same as it had begun? These biblical tales were written in many different languages, and translated, probably, poorly, so that what is written may not be the original story. Who knows? My feeling is that if we live our lives according to the 10 commandments, we are religious enough, and god will like us.

There is a definitional difficulty with the word 'God'. People mean a lot of different things when they use that word, and some are a lot easier to envision, describe, or prove than others. Here are just a few:

- Creator and/or controller of the universe.
- Creator and/or controller of the Earth.
- Creator and/or controller of mankind.
- Creator and/or controller of some subset of mankind.
- Observer of events.
- Source and/or enforcer of morality.
- Ruler of the afterlife.
- An example of perfection.
- Something really, really powerful.
- Recipient of hopes and dreams.
- Object of worship.

Determining which of the above a person is referring to when a person is talking about God is probably a very good first step. Some religions parse these duties out to a number of different gods, some attribute them all to just one entity, and most of them have gaps where some of the above duties aren't given to anybody.

How you relate to any of the above entities has a lot to do with the particular entity involved. This might not be a problem except that proponents of specific systems have often claimed exclusivity - they are right and nobody else is.

There is really only one or two practical ways to get to the bottom of the matter. Either trust that whatever entity powerful and interested enough in you is going to CAUSE you to become interested in them in return, or attempt to seek out these entities and use your reason and intuition to decide for yourself. Any other way is pretty much guesswork and luck.

This is a question which has fascinated many a yogis in the past. The same fascination will continue. Each of us will ask this question, it is only a matter of time.

Our life is a journey. Each individual is moving towards the same destination. We don't realize that. The time taken to reach, the mode of transportation used, the path adopted, the name of master is only difference.

Whatever we see is God's own manifestation. So we are all part of Him. However our narrow mind, thinking and knowledge makes feel like lesser mortals.

Then how do we realize our true self ? May be through knowledge, by seeing him in every living beings. We can realize our true self through Devotion or may be through Meditation.

So you are and we all are related to God, that is our true self.

OK, now for the truth.

God is a myth. Remember Zeus Apollo Odin Hoth Quetzalcoatl, etc...? God is just one more member of the group.

We relate to him in that many humans wish there were a god so human existence would have meaning. But there is none.

Yes and that person is the Holy Spirit. Try reaching the most ultimate level of goodness through meditation or religion. He is real and will guide you. You will feel His presence. I found Him through studying the bible. I was tired of hearing passages and decided to get a Living Bible (thick pages) and study it like a textbook. I stuck to the New Testament too.
Reading it seemed to bring a new presence around me like magnetism. I still don't want to deal with organized religion (churches and evangelists) but there is a definite presence of God or good in this world and He is in spirit form. Now go ahead and laugh. But I know what happened to me. It didn't make me perfect, but it let me know there is another existence.

Do you ever feel a tugging in your heart? A tugging to come to God? In the book of Romans, first chapter, The Holy Bible, we are told that God reveals Himself to us in two ways........one is thru our conscience (the tugging), and the other is thru the world around us (looking at our world we have to know someone greater than us created it!).

The God of the Bible is the one true God. The Bible traces humankind back to the very beginning. He is our Maker and Creator. When we invite His Son Jesus to come into our hearts we become His children. He is a loving God, Who wants us to come to Him voluntarily.

How do we relate to Him? We find about Him by reading the Bible.......and we ask Him to come into our lives......and then we follow His precepts in the Bible. We talk to Him just like we talk to a wonderful friend, and we listen, for He does communicate with us, primarily as we read His Word.

God loves you.......blessings to you !

St. Anselm postulated that God is that which nothing greater can be thought and our relationship to him is facilitated through the exercise of reason and will in terms of our nature, and of a revelation in terms of the divine nature's will to communicate his presence with us. Many of the medieval mystics understood that the sheer fact of our existence establishes us in relationship with God, a relationship that they believed was ratified in the Incarnation of God in Christ.

God is the only eternal being. He created the world to be perfect. People are His prize creations. We were created to worship Him, but He gives us freewill because He wants us to choose to worship Him. He loves us all, and desires a personal relationship with each person. In the beginning, man walked with God. However, when people sinned, a perfect God could no longer walk with imperfect man. This grieved God. He sent His Son, Jesus, to live as fully God and fully man. Yet, many rejected and still reject Jesus. He was crucified on a cross as a criminal, though He was the only blameless man. This was to fulfill God's requirement that sin be paid for by blood. Then, through God's endless power, Jesus was raised from death on the third day to live forever. Though Jesus has returned to Heaven, God can still live with us. When someone humbles them self and begs God's forgiveness for sin and believes on Jesus to save them, God forgives that person and sends His Holy Spirit to live in him or her. Then, one day, that person will live with God in Heaven forever.

God is universal strength. Normally it comes to human mind. people define this in different ways. If you sort out their views eventually you will realize that everybody says same thing. if you see the world optimistically you will always see the god. god bless you.
