All these questions are based on the principle that if
y = a^x
then
x = log(base a)(y).

1.
log(base 10)100 = 2
100 = 10^2.

2.
y = log(base 3)(x)
Putting this in exponential form:
x = 3^y.
Now choose easy values 0, 1, 2 for y, and find x in each case:
When y = 0, x = 3^0 = 1.
When y = 1, x = 3^1 = 3.
When y = 2, x = 3^2 = 9.
That gives you the three points:
(1,0), (3,1), (9,2).

3.
log(base 10)(6.31) = 0.8.

1. 10² = 100

2. (9, 2): 2 = log (base 3) 9 ----> 3² = 9
(81, 4): 4 = log (base 3) 81 ----> 3^4 = 81

3. log 6.31 = 0.8 ----> 10^0.8 = 6.31
When no base is given, the base is understood to be 10.
