My favorite would have to be a toss up between a praying mantis and a scorpion, That is, is scorpions are insects as well. I do like spiders too though!

That's a tough one, maybe a worm its great for compost and the garden.. plus I think not a big disgusting pile of them but one just on the ground worming along after the rain is kinda neat looking

Anything with 6 or more legs terrifies me... the ones that least freak me are those bronze ladybirds with white spots, butterflies and honey bees (My girfriend's family used to keep some).
By far the worst ones are harlequin ladybirds, dragonflies, those ENORMOUS fat round black beetles and daddy-long-legs (aka craneflies).

Ladybugs..as a kid i would pull their wings off so they couldnt fly away - then i could keep playing with them all day!

Not much into them, they are scary. Anything that can run, jump or fly and land on me makes me nervous. I don't mind a praying mantis at a distance.

DO NOT EVEN BRING AN INSECT AROUND ME!!!!!!!! if one flies near me its a wrap. i hate insects. especially spiders. now i wont kill it unless its in the house.
