Yes - 6 times, all by wasps.

1. I stood on it accidentally when I was about 4 ; it stung the bottom of my foot
2. I was drinking a can of coke aged 6 and didn't know it was in there; it stung my bottom lip.
3. I got caught in my hair at about 7 years old and it was walking around, so I stratched my head thinking it was just an itch; it stung my finger.
4. I sat on one when I was about 8; it stung the back of leg.
5. I was taking a picture of an insect aged about 11 when one flew into me; it stung the back of my neck.
6. Another one caught in my hair - same situation as number 3, only 8 years later.

And all of my friends wonder why I freeze up around them.

I was stung by a wasp when i was growing up. We went on a school trip and were told not to bring fizzy drinks. A girl brought one and was alarmed when wasps congregated around the can. I put my thumb over it for her so they would go away and got stung. A week later i got stung on the leg when one flew up inside the trench coat i was wearing and thought i was attacking it.
Been stung by mozzies and fallen prey to other kinds of stings not the insect kind

I've been stung a few times - I really don't like bees and wasps. The last time I got stung I was about 15 and cried like a baby! Very embarrassing so I'm one of those people who make a real fuss if I see a bee or wasp remotely near me!

What does respecting all insects have to do with being stung? The only times I've been stung was when I was walking by them minding my own business,,I don't piss them off.....they need to repect me!!!!!

I have been stung by a bee, but it was my own fault as I was running around the garden with no shoes on! I was only 4, but you think I would have learnt, I'm now 26 and still run around the garden with no shoes on!

Yes I was stung once, and man let me tell you it hurts like the hell! My friend was the one that accidentally kicked the nest that was in the ground, but it was me and their dog that got stung. It was just below my right knee, and it turned pink and swelled up and felt like fire. I didn't even get to see what it was that stung me, because we all ran like hell to get away from them after that happened.
