I have a lot of jewelry projects that require glue, but I can't keep using dried up superglue that cracks soon after it dries.. Is there any suggestion of a glue that's inexpensive, easy to find, and has a good 'hold' to it? I need a multipurpose glue that holds fast to light metals, beads, clasps, wire, ect.

The ONLY glue I use is E6000. It is designed for jewelry use. It doesn't eat the backs off flat back crystals, and hold very well. DO NOT use superglue or any cyanoacrylate based glue, it will eat up stones, crystals etc.

I have tried a couple others, but nothing held stones very well. I have heard that Gorilla glue works too, but have not tried it. You can get E6000 anywhere, even WalMart.

As a general crafter, and a maker of jewelry, AND an employee of a craft store I usually recommend E6000, Bond 527 (my fav), and for the tiny spots, the G-S Hypo is great. There are no other glues in my kits.

Goop and E6000 are glues designed for jewelry. They are both inexpensive and readily available in craft stores.

I use gorilla glue for a lot of different things. It doesn't get dry very fast but it's strong and has some flexbility.

You should put lotion all around the finger your ring is on, all over the ring, and then twist it back and forth while you try to pull it off. If that does not work try some of the other suggestions or get a jeweler or the hospital to cut it off.

I have found it is not appropriate to use super glue as it does crack and is not secure after awhile. I use G-S Hypo Cement found in craft and beading stores..Best wishes..
