I don't care about them but I think I am in the minority on that.
just look at all the crying people for Anna Nicole some of them said they never cry at funerals of the people they know!

That's WHY I get frustrated. They don't care about laws or the country's political situation, yet they get paparazzi when they check the mail.
I bet half the celebs don't even know what's going on in Iraq right now. They can get $20 million a flick or do a TV commercial and not know a third of the important things I learned in the military and in college. I may respect their work ethic or their handling of emergency situations after being used to pressure on camera....but that's probably it.
We are the stewards of this planet, and it's wrong not to care.
Don't call it hate. I disrespect them if they don't care.

I don't know. Personally I could care less about the personal lives of celebrities... Let them have some privacy. Some people get engrossed in what the news reports, and when we are being told about celebrities lives on the local and national news, it's hard to not listen.
It would be nice if the media quit reporting on dating, adoptions, arrests, etc, (or if somehow we let them know WE DON'T CARE) then the paparazzi could find real jobs, and celebrities could have a little privacy.

I don't know why people care about them so much, and all the crap they do. I have been wondering that too for a while now. They are not the most important people in the world by any means. Especially not to me and my life. I don't hate any of them myself, but I know some people do. It doesn't make much sense I agree, but it does seem to sell those yellow journalism mags. So go figure, maybe a lot of people are just that nosey or don't have a life, or both?

I honestly don't care what celebrities are doing or not. I hardly know any of them and find myself in the upper level of ignorance when people are talking about their new perils or I see questions about them on this site. I guess ignorance can be bliss,and I will continue to hold that stance. There are way too many people I do know who are much more important to me. Have a great day! Annie

Here's my theory, which is basically the same as my Jerry Springer theory - I think people are interested in hearing about all the bad stuff and trouble of celebrities, because most of the time celebrities are treated like gods, and their problems prove that they aren't. That makes us feel better about ourselves - see, we don't have money or fame, but our lives aren't such a mess as Paris Hilton's or whoever. WE haven't been caught driving drunk or landing in rehab, so in a small way that makes us better than the celebrities, and we like that feeling.

I don't "hate" them. Hate is such a strong word. I dislike them because of the lives most of them lead. Hasn't anyone noticed the short life span of most celebrities today?
Sure, they entertain us, and thats all nice and dandy. But often wonder why must the celebrity be payed more than they men and women who risk their lives daily for us?

I cannot answer this like your wanting me to because I actually know some of them. Paris Hilton is not the devil people want to believe, she is actually a very nice person in real life. She doesn't have a lot of talent, but she also has the rich girl image to uphold to the public too.

seriously. every single paparazzi and every person who goes out trying to stalk celebrities or just touch them or anything has no life. we shouldnt barge into their lives and take pictures of them when they dont know it. who cares if somebody is in rehab or goes to jail? its their life! what if we took pictures of you when you were sick with the flu, or when your wife cheated on you, or when you gained ten pounds! GASP! get over it people.
