I cannot stand the weak horn that the Civic has. I also have an Accord with a nice strong honk. Is it possible that I could go to my mechanic and have them adjust the horn or replace it for a better sounding one?

The easiest job you can do is replace the single tone horn with a high low tone horn pair. You might have to extend a couple of wires some cars are pre- wired.. Or you can install a train horn to scare the cars out of your way. Look at J.C. Whitney or auto parts store.
