Yes, I used it all the time in my teens for moody photos. I just rescued it from my parents basement last week, where it has been for about eight years. It's by the couch. I will use it again when I get my camera fixed. There's a tree at uni that has roots that I think look just like a woman's legs as she is on all fours and I want a picture of that. Really cool.

Actually, my friend, I own what you might describe, NOT as a "TRIPOD", - but, more of a "QUAD-POD", - it has FOUR rubber feet, - rather than the THREE, on a traditional "TRIPOD"!
I don't think they're available, in shops, - it was HAND-MADE by my brother! The ONLY part, of it, that was SHOP BOUGHT, was the "MOUNT", - which CONNECTS it, TO the camera, itself! It provides a much STEADIER PLATFORM!
As for STORAGE?
It collapses, so small, that I can put it inside my "GADGET BAG"!
Being DISABLED, - as I am, - I use it whenever I use my camera!

Yes I do. However, I don't use it very often now that I have a better camera that takes clear photographs just being held by hand. My tripod lives in the corner of my closet.

Yes, I go through phases. Sometimes I'll use it several times a week. Then I might not use it at all for a few months. I store it in a corner behind a bookcase.

Err, i have two Tripods, on small one large, i use the small frequently, and cant be bothered with the large one, the small one is stored in a drawer in my spare bedroom next to the bed, second from the bottom, the large one is stored downstairs in my antique Georgian style set of drawers in the bottom drawer next to the floor, it is at the back on the RHS as you are looking into the drawer, why do you want to know??

Own three, infrequent use, stored in box or carrying case if it came with one, all reside in a closet.
