Everybody Hurts is the saddest one on your list!
But the saddest song ever is "The Lake" by Antony and the Johnsons!
Oh yeah and "Something in the Way" by Nirvana.
Personally I loved Metallica when I was like 13 or 14, 15 years ago. But Christ I cant listen to them any more, everything sucked after "Black", and I mean really really sucked! Sorry guys...
If you want metal listen to Devildriver!

It's totally Everybody Hurts on that list. There was a long time where I couldn't even listen to that song because I was pretty depressed and it just made me too sad.
Also, if you're looking for sad tunes check out "I Didn't Understand" by Elliott Smith. The saddest song I've ever heard.

The Unforgiven, it's lyrics make me so depress cause I kinnda relate to the main character.
You want a really sad song? try Pink Floyd's The Finla Cut and Blackfield's the End of the world

All of these are pretty sad to listen to.
The saddest being Unforgiven because it is sad to see one of the greatest bands in metal show the beginning of their end. Crap man, they haven't made a good song since then.

haven't heard any of them except unforgiven, but honestly if that's a candidate there's no way any of them beat Fade to Black or One by Metallica or The Pass or by Rush. Those are extremely depressing. Just thought you should know.

Its gotta be metallica. The others are poppy or sappy. The unforgiven has the metal edge of being direct and in your face of being destined to fail. A cycle of depression with no escape with the fear of repeated through generations.
