No, I have not tried to make a painting. But I did like Bob Ross. He was a very talented artist. I really liked to watch his programs on our local PBS station and I liked his painting techniques. He made it look so easy. Rest in peace, Bob.

I tried once to paint what he was painting. I got aggrivated 1/2 way through and wanted to scribble all over my paper. It wasnt so "happy" like he said. I find that I take some of his techniques and develop my own pictures. That way I am satisfied and I still enjoy his show. I dont think its on anymore since he died though.. .such a shame.....

Ummm.....Do the words...Paint by Numbers mean anything? That's all that guy does! U just can't see it because of the lighting. Do u think Picasso would be on TV flogging off cheap imitations of how to paint? U either have it or u don't.

I'm just like you!

It is so mesmerizing, and I think to myself "must get those brushes" so I can paint just like him, but I am hypnotized byhis voice and his technique.... Then I get discouraged too because I realize he has a different brush for every element of his painting. Think about his trees alone....at least 3 different brushes depending on perspective.....

But he's great....

I've used his paintbrushes ! I'm sure I've picked up on some techniques. (the only time I've ever seen the show was when I was flipping through channels, and I would watch for a little while....it's kinda' like watching bowling !) "michaelbuffy"....do you have you're own show ?
