A woman at a night-club on Saturday night was taken by 5 men who according to hospital and garda reports, gang raped her before dumping her. Unable to remember the events of the evening, tests later confirmed the repeat rapes and along with traces of Rohypnol in her blood, was Progesterex, which is essentially a small sterilization pill.

The drug is now being used by rapists at parties to rape AND sterilize their victims.. Progesterex is available to vets to sterilise large animals. Rumour has it that Progesterex is being used together with Rohypnol, The date rape drug. As with Rohypnol, all they have to do is drop it into The girl's drink. The girl can't remember a thing the next morning, of all that had taken place the night before. Progesterex, which dissolves in drinks just as easily, is such that the victim doesn't conceive from the rape and the rapist needn't worry about having a paternity test identifying him months later. The drug's effects ARE NOT TEMPORARY...

Actually I've heard of funky wee drink covers that you can put over your bottle when you are not drinking it (either that or it has a straw through it). This sounds like a good idea!

THIS WAS TO SHOW HOW EASY IT IS WHEN YOUR BACK IS TURNED TO HAVE YOUR DRINK SPIKED, EVEN IF IT IS IN YOUR HAND, WITHOUT YOU NOTICING. I ONLY POST THIS TO BRING AWARENESS.

I think the most important piece of advice here is: don't leave your drink unattended. If you drink from a bottle, keep your thumb over the top, never put your drink down anywhere.

Thank you for passing this on. There are people who are monsters and don't care about other people. People should be aware of this kind of things.
BUT remember to check the facts before you post something like this. IF this is JOKE, it's very sick and if not.... then YOU should know that this story has been circling around the net. It's not true, as I found late. READ this as well as that story you posted.

oi oi.. miss nodaybutoday(sp) u cant hate 'men' but u can hate a 'man' well these thigns happends quite often these days, well i must say that i agree with my mother whom each times reads about this news in the papers, she says its the girl's fault and the girls parents, mostly young underaged girls are being raped, and there are underaged mother's as well..why didnt the mothers watch them? dont they ask where their daughters goes and comes back late night? and the girls, if a guy offers a drink she would maybe say no, but she has her friends whom would coax her to drink it..hey for man frankly.. its like a candy falling onto the lap of a small child...they are not that dumb to do nothing with a young fresh looking girl? men are men..

Thanks for that info. Im always really weary of gettin my drink spiked wen im out so i always keep my thumb firmly over the top of my bottle. Me an my friends also tell each other 2 ALWAYS no wer each other is an we never seperate. Y risk it. Theres 2 many weirdos out ther who want 2 take advantage of drunk girls so my tiny bit of advice but important is 2 drink 2 an extent. Dont drink till u dont remember going home or wen ur accepting drinks of other people.

got this via email and it was on the tv the beamount hosp did not release this statment nor did they treat anyone that this happen to.THIS IS A HOAX...but fair play to you to post it cause it could hve not been a hoax and at least you were trying to help.

Aside from the fact you do not have all your facts straight.

Why would you post this and let the guys that may would do something like this get the info they need..Like what drugs to buy and use. seems like you are doing more harm than good.

This is very disturbing though informative news. I never put myself in a situation that was to harm me, and also, never left any of my girlfriends no matter how old we were and are, alone with a stranger at any Bar!! Thank you for sharing with us!
