is the pokemon Shaymin a legendary?

Yes, Shaymin is a legendary. There's three different ways you can obtain it:
1) Nintendo event (There aren't any scheduled as of now)
2) Trading with a friend/GTS
3) Using action Replay

Shaymin is a legendary, and can only obtain through an official event.

I don't know much about Shaymin, but I do know it is a Legendary Pokemon.
