We will never have a perfect world(obviously in your mind, that means a world without any conflict), because the world doesn't have ANY perfect people and a perfect world would require a world wherein EVERYONE is perfect and that is never gonna happen!
WAKE UP! There has always been and always will be evil, greed, and ambition in this world and this has been accepted by some of the greatest minds this world has ever produced.
A sampling of which include:
Albert Einstein:
The world is a dangerous place, not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.
Aldous Huxley:
At least two thirds of our miseries spring from human stupidity, human malice and those great motivators and justifiers of malice and stupidity, idealism, dogmatism and proselytizing zeal on behalf of religious or political idols.
Blaise Pascal:
Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction.
Edmund Burke:
The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.
H. L. Mencken:
It is a sin to believe evil of others, but it is seldom a mistake.
Helen Keller:
Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all -- the apathy of human beings.
Henry Brooks Adam:
It is always good men who do the most harm in the world.
James Baldwin:
Nobody is more dangerous than he who imagines himself pure in heart, for his purity, by definition, is unassailable.
Joseph Conrad:
The belief in a supernatural source of evil is not necessary; men alone are quite capable of every wickedness.
Leonardo da Vinci:
He who does not punish evil, commands it to be done
Mary Wollstonecraft:
No man chooses evil because it is evil; he only mistakes it for happiness, the good he seeks.
Molly Ivins:
I believe that ignorance is the root of all evil. And that no one knows the truth.
Paul Ricoeur:
To put it in a few words, the true malice of man appears only in the state and in the church, as institutions of gathering together, of recapitulation, of totalization.
Pearl S. Buck:
When good people in any country cease their vigilance and struggle, then evil men prevail.
Robert Heinlein:
But goodness alone is never enough. A hard cold wisdom is required, too, for goodness to accomplish good. Goodness without wisdom invariably accomplishes evil.
Soren Kierkegaard:
Since boredom advances and boredom is the root of all evil, no wonder, then, that the world goes backwards, that evil spreads. This can be traced back to the very beginning of the world. The gods were bored; therefore they created human beings.
The sad fact of history that proves itself over and over again every day is that RELIGION has killed more people than any other cause in human history from the crusades, to the Spanish inquisition, to the Nazi Holocaust, to Charles Manson, to Jim Jones in Guyana, to Waco.to the Mormon Mountain Valley Massacre, and to today's idiotic radical christians who blow up abortion clinics, and the equally idiotic radical jews and muslims fighting over whose god is superior.
Religion is not intended to be evil, none of the 9 major religions in the world today preach hatred. It is man's perversion of those religions for his/her own reasons(i.e. greed, power, fame, etc) that turn religions which preach love and tolerance to all people into love and tolerance of my people and hatred and death for all the rest.

It's not that they haven't learned. They know very well the implications. It's just that they do it for the very same reason it was done in the past. Financial gain is the name of the game.
