First thing when I got to work this morning - someone comes and stands at my door and actually yawns out loud! eurgh - Have they no manners?

Then someone else walked by and shouted 'GOOd Morning!' at the door while I was reading some improtant documents.

Majority of people I face eveyday have no consideration for others and lack socoial discipline. I always ignore these people - and then they wonder why they are ignored.

Do you have badly behaved slobs at work?

Please excuse the typos - as you can see I am having quite a frustrating morning.

Its not the work that p%%£"s me off - it is the people.

Its not that they said 'good morning' but the TONE of voice they said it in. So rude and boisterous.

My son Aaron has a did ability called Aspergers Syndrome which means he's not very good at making contact with other people on a social basis, even something as trivial as going into a shop for stuff is hard for him!
Some people are quite nasty to him at times, but he does have manners. And he's definitely not a slob!

No, I don't like bad mannered people. I think what's more important is how you should deal with what they do to you. Tell the person who yawned out loud in front of you to be more subtle and cover their mouth. The one who shouted a greeting to you...maybe you should've greeted him back too but with an optimistic comment that will remind him of good manners. Let people know what you feel when they do that to you...remind them of their manners. If it doesn't work, try doing those bad behaviors at them and see how they think of it. Lots of people are just not very conscious at times. Remind them that they should. Have a good day. :)

You sound quite rude to be honest; you ignore your colleagues when they say good morning for a start; you say you're too busy to respond as you are reading important documents; yet you have found time to go on yahoo answers and whinge about it. What a sad life you lead. Get some real problems; chances are your colleagues think YOU are rude and up your own ****. If I worked with you you certainly wouldn't get a good morning you sound like a silly self obsessed little man!

I can understand this completely. If I were you I'd shut my door mine is shut all day, I hardly see a soul! The problem is with all this open-plan malarkey. Personal space doesn't seem to exist anymore to some rude idiots. Perhaps let everyone know that from 9am until 11am you are officially unavailable due to work pressures - that'll give them the message they are evidently missing... maybe... GOOD LUCK!

I hate bad manners. It's true that manners cost nothing and a simple please and thank you can make such a difference.

1 bloke at work always starts talking to me when I'm on the phone and loads of people just walk in and interrupt my conversations with people. So rude!

My workplace has such an interruption culture. I could be deep in the middle of an important conversation with someone and then someone else seems to think it ok to just butt in with some trivial issue like, oh such and such called looking for you. I also hate it when I am in the middle of an obviously long work conversation on the phone and someone in the office who wants to speak to me just stands over me whist waiting. And then there are the ones who have never hear of the words "please" and "thank you" !

i do not like bad mannered people. if the person who yawned covered his mouth i don't see what your problem is. maybe you should close your office door.

sometimes people can be like that and they cant tell wether its right or wrong. i know a lot of people like that but easily get over it. try to control some temper and sometimes have a talk with them. that could easily pull things together. for example, your office mate barges in without any important reason and it irritates you, try talking with him/her about it if you have any time so he/she could avoid doing it again.
