Yes, you're missing something. Ms. is a perfectly acceptable alternative to Mrs. It's a title that recognises that women are more than just wives. Ms. Clinton can choose to be called whatever she wants. If you don't like it, that's too bad.

all women whether married, single, divorced, never married, etc
are referred to as Ms.

it's been in common usage for a long time. I am surprised you haven't noticed that. a lot of women use it these days.

you probably are missing something.
