I saw this movie at the weekend and thought it was amazing. For me, it was one of those movies that makes you realise what is really important in life.

It's a wonderful and original movie, gripping, but very, very sad. For me, the message was, don't become so obsessed with things (in this case, with a house) to the extent that you sacrifice what's really important (family). It's a great film, because everything the characters do is understandable and logical, given who each person is; but each action they take leads to other actions they hadn't planned on, until finally the consequences of what they've done are out of their control. And they don't understand each other.
It's much like a classical Greek tragedy, in which the hero does certain things, and the consequences of what he does ultimately destroy him; but he can't help doing what he does.
I'm glad you reminded me of the movie. Although I saw it several years ago, I can remember it very well, it's that powerful.
