I have been taking HRT for a couple of years now and Im only 48.
A few months ago, I was having bad mood swings, so the doctor suggested I up my dose to a 1 and a half packets a month , the half packet I take on alternate days.
Just recently, when I get to my third week of HRT, I get terrible mood swings, I imagine my husband having affairs, although he's never given me reason to suspect this, Im irritable and go into crying moods.
Anybody have any idea, if this is due to my hrt, I thought hrt is supposed to make you feel good.

If you're going through the menopause, depression, etc. is a common side effect. Check out the NHS website this will give you info. Also if your on HRT it is to get your hormone level right. Have you had a blood test to establish what the level is? In that sense HRT is no different to the contraceptive pill if the level is wrong it will make you feel worse not better.
Go back to the doctor. Good Luck.

Yes, HRT can sometimes cause a woman to be depressed (have talked to a few this has happened to). I would recommend getting in touch with your dr about this right away to see what they think.
