ok forget about gucci bags and over size sunnies, do u think going to jail will be the new trend..? I mean, paris hilton is going to jail and shortly after Lindsay will be joining her!! i also heard this other older celebrity is going to jail too...soon they'll all be in there!! what do u think of this issue?

no because when they're in jail they can't be getting in trouble and making headlines. Drugs and rehab is better for celebs because they can always escape rehab and OD and make more headlines.

It is not safe for Paris to be in regular jail. For that matter, it isn't safe for guards and inmates either. Paris' incarceration is a luxury hotel compared to what most California inmates endure.
Bunks are stacked three high in areas that were intended for rehabilitation programs. The conditions are so horrific, the Feds are threatening to take over the prison system. They were already forced to take over the appalling prison medical system. Politicians wanted to be seen as being tough on crime and passed an expensive prison expansion bill. What we need is to address the issue of the incarcerated mentally ill, rehabilitation, and sentencing and parole reforms that will make us all safer when inmates are released and save us lots of money.
California has to pay off that $16 Billion (including finance charges) prison expansion bill. The prison system allows some special, rich inmates luxuries, such as pillows and decent food, for a price. If that becomes a money maker for the state, incarcerating celebrities will be a new trend.

It looks like that's the "in" thing but I hope not. Those celebs may be doing those things just to get a little attention. Er, or maybe a lot. But getting into jail is not something I ever want to consider to be COOL. Who would want to stay in prison even just for a few hours? It doesn't matter if it would be more sanitary or whatever. I'd rather think of something else to make into a trend (uh, grammar right?). I wouldn't want my hands to get dirty (pun intended).

I mean what sort of crimes will celebrities do to get in jail. some dont have to do much.
1. Rosie O'Donnell get into a road rage with a donut truck she was chasing.
2. Donald Trump gets arrested by by the hair police for...well just being Donald I spose.
