A passive person will often speak at a low volume, not asserting themselves to be heard. They will not often make eye contact with you, even when talking to you. A passive person is never a leader, always a follower and will always do what "the crowd" does.

A passive person will put up with a lot from others. They are very non-confrontational and rarely if ever speak up on what they think or feel as to not cause any waves with others.

passive people don't care about other people's BS.
they want to go through life without any conflict. passive-aggressive people play little games to try and make you angry whereas aggressive people just come right out and start conflict.
I believe im a passive person. im not sure what my cousin is. he's definitely not passive.
my cousin will try to start arguments with me, and most of the time I don't take the bait.
he'll ask me for my opinion, but then he gives me a hard time for feeling that way.
"why do you feel that way?"
"it's just who I am; I don't know. I can't explain more than that."
"yeah...but why? I mean, you must know."
"nope. it's just my opinion; how I feel. let's drop it."
"no, I want to know. seriously. tell me."
"what else is there to tell? I just told you. end of discussion."
IT'S NEVER THE END for my cousin. he'll keep on nagging me, loving the conflict that is brewing.
I simply get up and go to my room, leaving him with no one to "battle".
I don't get angry at him, nor do I resent him for his behavior. I understand that he is who he is; I understand how he grew up. so I don't hold it against him.
I believe that is what passivity means.

Let's life and other people take control over them, often to their detriment. Like a door mat, stepped all over.
And do nothing, because they want to avoid conflict.

A passive person is a relaxed person. They see the overall game and are more interested with winning the war then winning a battle and losing the war. Passive people are not aggressive, if they see someone else wants something, then they give that thing to the other person to form alliances.

Aggressive people have many enemies, passive people have many friends who are loyal to them. Passive people believe in sacrifice for long term gain, aggressive people believe in short term gain for long term sacrifice.
