I have had this happen before where a little- a few tiny drops- of clear liquid came out of one of my breasts when it was pressed. Also, when I was pregnant, my breasts leaked colostrum-this wouldn't be the case for you, though- since you clearly aren't pregnant if you've just had your period. Take a note of other symptoms-swelling, tenderness, amount of fluid- to tell your doc-she'll help you sort it out.

You may not be pregnant, as another answer suggested. Is the fluid clear or cloudy or bloody? If it's bloody, you need to see a doctor ASAP. If it's cloudy, you may also need to see a doctor. If it's clear, that's pretty normal. Some people experience breast discharge on occasion and it's perfectly normal. It can have a lot to do with hormone fluctuations. Also, is it leaking from both breasts or just one? The worst thing it could be is a tumor on your pituitary gland. That would require surgery. The best thing it could be is just hormone fluctuations. If the fluid is clear and leaking from both breasts, I'd suggest you wait a month and see if it goes away. Also, try not to mess with it too much and tell your guy to lay off the breast for a while. Messing with it can only make it discharge even more. If the fluid is not clear and/or is only leaking from one breast, I'd suggest you see a doctor about it.

Have you ever been pregnant before? Did you breastfeed? These are the only circumstances when you should be able to express any liquid from your breasts.

I strongly urge you to see a doctor as soon as possible.

If your not pregnant, see a doctor ASAP. There could be something else wrong.

No, it is your body's way of preparing for birth.

Don't worry about it.

Bodies don't understand choice.
