HEROS AND LOST AND ROVE AND ANYTHING ELSE THATS COOL

For drama and mystery: Lost. If you watched the first season then you would probably think there were at least a hundred plot holes that the writers will have no way or time to answer but you would probably be wrong. Lost has currently just finished up it's third season and has been confirmed to go three more. You can watch the show and respect the characters for their basic qualities (i.e. ones a rockstar and another was paralyzed before he came to the island) or you can dig a little deeper and watch this show on a regular basis and discover that there is more to these characters then first shown (i.e. the weakness of John Locke and the mission of Desmond Hume). This is the best show to come around in a while.

For comedy: Even though it doesn't air anymore due to poor ratings Arrested Development was, what I feel, ahead of it's time. It was balls to the wall and cutting edge which people were not ready to see in the sitcom of today. It's non-linear plot made it extremely hard to follow for viewers that were not dedicated so only the true fans could follow it. Also not a lot of people could understand the humor it presented. People today want the laugh track comedies like Two and a Half Men and How I met Your mother but Arrested Development presented humor through it's complex plot and also had a sense of subtlety that people aren't used to when they watch television.

Buffy, the Vampire Slayer Angel Scrubs Heroes Supernatural And it's been a few months but I've watched Days of Our Lives for over ten years, since I was seven. Days is the reason I started watching Supernatural in the first place(Jensen Ackles has been hot to me since I was 8 years old).
