Every mountain has it's peak - the highest point. Usually, peaks have their own names, which differ from the name of the mountain they're part of.
For example, here in Zagreb we have Mt. Medvednica with it's peak called Sljeme.
Sometimes, local people call the entire mountain by it's peak's name (like in my case).

There is not much difference between a Peak and a moutain, they both are made of rocks, a peak is a sharply pointed mountain top, while a mountain is a very high hill, usually bare rock or covered with snow rock.
