No, if you look around the world the US has one of the lowest. If you look around also you'll any country with universal healthcare and welfare state of having more taxes then the US, if you also look at those countries their governments are under such strain that they are near bankruptcy continually with a sluggish economy due to such high taxes that limit investment.

GO USA! at least the republicans got the economy and taxes right, im against welfare and universal healthcare cause i want to keep my money that i earn. Thats why im a republican, may prosperity continue with low taxes that God hoping get lower.

no it's pretty low compared to most western countries - the most taxed are the scandinavian countries such as Sweden, Denmark etc

no, i heard from a Canadian, that their taxes are way higher than ours, but ...they have free health care and public transportation! and we have low taxes, but...we have to pay for health care and public transportation...see the difference?
