I don't think so at all. You have to remember this is only James 3rd full year in the NBA. He is only 22 years old, so even if he loses this series he will have more shots at a ring down the road. Jordan didn't get his first ring till he was in the league for 6 years, he lost to the pistons 3 years in a row before he got his first ring. So James should not be judged to harsh this go around, the team he is one was not a fav to go to the finals, James has taken a good team and has made them great. Now in 10 years if he does not have a ring you can start to question him, but with or without a ring he is still a great player.

People are too busy grading on potential over accomplishment, lets just say Lebron James is far from being regarded as a Michael Jordan. Besides have you ever seen Magic Johnson when he was a rookie?
Remember, that the all stars of today are reminiscent of legends that inspired them.
Lebron is a product from the love of the game, and has an amazing future... to compare him to Michael only emulates MJs legacy.

I doubt it. Michael Jordan wasn't in the Finals in his 4th season, but LeBron is with a worse team than what MJ had. LeBron still doesn't have a playmaker for himself on his team yet. It took LeBron less time to get by Detroit, but it wasn't the same Detroit team as what MJ had to face. I think people will say that LeBron will get a title quicker than MJ because I think his team is developing into great players.

Hello he is 22 years old and been in the league 4 years. Jordan was in his seventh year before he got his first ring. It took him 3 occasions to finally get past the Pistons. LeBron did it in 2. The Spurs are a complete team which is why the Cavs won't win. It is a team sport.

It is too early to compare Le bron with the achievements of
Michael Jordan. Michael did not win a chamionship with
Chicago until 1991,orsix years after he entered the NBA.
Le bron is only on his 2nd year and even if he fails to win
a championship this year he has still so many years left to
achieve his goals. Surely some people may be dissapointed
but give le lebron the chance to prove himself further. What
he has given to the cavs is already an acheivement.

You're forgetting that part of the reason Jordan is so famous is because he had setbacks in basketball. He got cut from his high school team. If the Cavs lose,(which won't happen) that would be LeBron's setback. Besides James doesn't have any support. MJ had Scottie Pippen - Steve Kerr - etc.

He'll be the same status as of right now because the NBA marketing team expects him to be the next Michael Jordan without respecting what he (LeBron) really are.

I personally think that it will not die down...
Jordan won his first ring in his 5th season... at 28...
LeBron is 22 his 4th year...
I think if he doesn't win his ring this season, I believe he is destined to win at least one...
As long as he wears the number 23 he will always be compared to his Airness..
Just a thought:
I think that after Lebron win his ring he would retire to b-ball to play football.. just like jordan retired to play in baseball.

"all hope of him being Jordan"?
What the hell does that mean? Is there an award for being Jordan now? I thought people were to simply go out and play their best game and we judge them after they are done.
If the goal is to get the most rings...Bill Russell already won.
For as good as Jordan was and for as long as he was....Russell has ELEVEN CHAMPIONSHIP RINGS.
That's a whole hand more than Jordan.
So who wants to be Jordan? I'd rather be Russell...
