What is your main reason for having a pet?

To be more human.
Its human-nature to care for another being-- be it another person, any kind of animal or even flowers/plants.
Each of us has that irrevocable nature to live, love and be loved and having a pet makes these all real and tangible. :)

Unconditional love, companionship, to be greeted with pure pleasure when I come home, stress reduction, watchdog, to hear happy chirping, the pure joy of caring for living beings. Life isn't complete without pets!

because they do stupid things that make me laugh, for instance, my cat is watching me from on top of my PC tower and stretching out (proberly just wants more food!) and plus its nice and warm, they sometimes both sit in fount of my computer monitor with their paws on it, I have a fish screen saver, obviously its more realistic than i thought! i have goldfish to and they are great and they are nearly 10 years old now, they are the pawnness though. and my mum has rabbits though the cats are actully scared of them, which in some ways is kinda good. and I'm thinking on gettting a tortoise because they are so cool.

either a dog or a kid. we chose the dog for right now. we love him, and he's still alive after 10 mths, so we're doing good. next stop....KIDS.

cause i love cats and dogs. but not having them at the same time. that can be crazy.
