ok, how would you feel or react if your girlfriend/bofriend that doesent smoke wanted or started to smoke too. Would you stop them or tell them something or it will just be ok with you?

Most people end up doing what they please, regardless of warnings and advise, But, I would encourage ANYONE wanting to take up smoking not to do it!. I wish that I had never took up the habit. The reasons not to, outweigh the reasons to do it, by a long shot...If someone truly cares,they would not encourage such a health hazard.Sincerely...and Do what you feel is right for you,in the long run,you are the person responsible.

I would let he or she make their own decision. The only thing that I could do would be to give them advice on how I wished that I had never done it. That is what everyone tried to tell me. I have been smoking for well it will be 6 years this July 4 and I wish that I had never done it. Believe me that is really all you can do is advise them on it because they are going to go and do it anyway!

My husband does not smoke and I do, but I started smoking at age 12, like a dumb***. I would tell he was stupid to start t smoking at the age of 29 but if that is want he wanted so be it.

I would not say anything to them about it because it is their life and their decision which makes it none of my business.Someone my age knows the consequences of smoking and if they choose to take up the habit than it's on them. For me to try to do anything to prevent them from doing the exact thing that I do, well that would be like the pot calling the kettle black.

I would tell them that they are crazy to start smoking. Even if the pressure would be off me. I wouldn't date a non-smoker in the first place just for that very reason.

Ive been smoking for just about 2 years. Starting smoking was definitely the worst decision i ever made. Not only is it bad for your lungs it ends up being an extremely expensive habit. Try and convince him/her not to though it is his/her decision.

i smoke and my girlfriend has smoked but if she ever wanted to start smoking id feel like id have no right telling her not to. id try to talk her out of it by telling her its hard to quit its expensive and you ruin ur shirts

My fiancee quit in Feb, and I still smoke. Any time he reaches for one, I snatch it away and tell him no. I don't want him to start up again. I don't even want to be smoking myself. I'm going to need him for when I quit.

i would try and advise them not too, as a smoker i would point out how i wish i had never started, point out the negatives and tell them its a bone of self contention that i'm too weak to try to give up

I smoke (Marlboro Lights), but I would not encourage anyone else to smoke.
