CAN BE SIMPLIFIED TO:

SIN(x°) = COS(x°)

THEREFORE X CAN BE:

x = 225

OR

x = -135

OR

x = 45

TESTING THE SOLUTION:

SIN(x°) = COS(x°)
SIN(45°) = COS(45°)
40.51423422 = 40.51423422

not only when sin x - cos x = 0 but at any time, :
sin(x) - cos(x) = sin (x-45) or sin(x- pi/4)
so sin(x-45) = 0 and sin(t) gets 0 when t = k *180 or k* pi
=> x - 45 = k * 180 => x = k * 180 + 45
=> x = .... , -315, -135, 45, 225 , 405, 585, ...

have fun ;)

Easy, sin x = cos x, This only occurs in an isoceles right triangle where the angle x is 45 degrees

Note that sin x / cos x = tan x:-
tan x = 1 (1st and 3rd quadrants)
x = 45° , x = 225°
or
x = (45 + 360 k)° , x = (225 + 360 k)° ; k = 1,2,3,----

hi, Set 2sin(theta) + a million = 0 and sin(theta) -a million = 0 Now resolve for sin(theta) interior the 1st one we've 2sin(theta) = -a million divide by utilising 2 giving us: sin(theta) = -a million/2 this happens at 30 stages previous one hundred eighty or 210 and 30 degees berofe 360 or 330. Now for the 2nd section sin(theta) -a million = 0 we've sin(theta) = a million. Or ninety stages. wish This facilitates!.

sin x - cos x = 0
(sin x - cos x)(sin x + cos x) = 0(sin x + cos x)
sin^2 x - cos^2 x =0
cos^2 x - sin^2 x =0
cos 2x =0
2x = 90, 270
x = 45,135(ignored)
x=45#

sin x = cos x
where : cos x = sin (90 - x)

therefore,

sin x = sin (90 - x)

=> x = 90 - x
2x = 90
x = 45
that's the answer...

sinx-cosx=0 can be rearranged as

sinx=cosx

if you divide both sides by cosx you get

sinx/cosx=cosx/cosx which simplifies to

tanx = 1

hence x= 45 degrees
