With no offense meant at all. This Q is asked so often it should have its own category,,,sigh.

An agent is often someone hired AFTER one, or when one, truly no longer NEEDS one. They are not a NON profit organization, and can't create "Actors" (which is a major issue)

Beyond that Film in FL is iffy, but if you must try for it, Miami area is certainly the only real viable place to look. Playbill.com, as well as any of the "trade" papers will advertise auditions, but as one answer states Getting on board the Mouse Train isn't exactly an effortless task.

Again, and with all due respect, "WANT" doesn't always equate to "CAN" nor does it promise that one can in fact, ACT.

Simple reply, a few do now and a few do later.... Explanation: Almost any individual with entry to targeted persons in a given enterprise or within the example with actors, have entry to the day-to-day breakdowns, can name themselves dealers or private managers. They can cost you a cost up entrance or on a per 30 days groundwork as some way of "offsetting the price of advertising you". They can inform you that you just have to pass to a specified appearing teach or use a specified photographer to get new headshots. About ninety five% of the time if they're insistant that you just use best those persons they're getting a few variety of kick back down of it. This is the purpose why, if you are watching for a theatrical agent, you have to discover one that's sanctioned via both SAG or AFTRA or each! Those unions have recommendations in location that state that an agent might best take a targeted agreed upon percent after the performer has been paid. They additionally cannot call for you employ a targeted trainer or photographer as a groundwork for no longer repping you. An agent supplies a provider to guide you, and like every offerings you are going to ought to pay for it ultimately. But when you part with an AFTRA/SAG agent, a minimum of you understand that cost may not be popping out of pocket. Best of good fortune!

Check your newspaper and serch on the internet for agents in your area...though most of the peopel that answered before said that FL is not a good place to start, it's not that bad. Miami is growing in the indestry. You must audtion for getting an agent...so to be frank, you have to be able to at least 'act' a little. The reason I say 'a little' is because, people on Disney channel, aren't that great, it's much more of a look you have to have. Many of them got the parts because of there connections.

Join an acting workshop so you can meet other actors and ask them your questions, as they will better be able to assist you, with first-hand information.

South Florida is not the place to find a good agent. You need to be in Los Angeles or New York for good agents.

Read the entertainment section of your newspaper.
Disney posts auditions in the newspaper and sometimes on the evening news. Unless you have appeared in a lot of plays, you are not going to get an agent.

Agents want to see that you have many acting roles on your résumé. They want to see that you have lead roles in plays.

Your chances are very low of succeeding. Agents are very difficult to obtain and are very selective. South Florida is NOT where its happening, either. Stay in school, study hard, and forget all this nonsense. Also, you are a minor and agents DON'T deal wth minors.
