Loans and grants are your friend :)

Federal Financial Assistance is need/income-based, so especially if your friend is poor, she should have a lot of options available.

Visit www.fafsa.ed.gov to apply for federal aid.

MBA from your local/regional state University would be the ticket. Get federal loan support. If you're truly poor they will give you a subsidized option where you don't have to pay interest until after you graduate. Tell your friend to be smart and take a lot of internships during her time in school so when she graduates it'll be much easier finding a decent paying job.

If your friend also has high academic standing, tell her to apply for scholarships, loans and grants. There are literally thousands of them out there which aren't claimed every year. I personally got through my entire sophomore year of college on a merit scholarship based in part on financial need and my academic standing.
