Not worth bothering with. You will not even notice it.

2.98 is only 5.3% more than 2.80 The difference in performance on your computer system for the upgrade will be considerably less than 5%.

Easy! Overclock it. You can do it through software or through BIOS. Some motherboards come w/ its own overclocking software or you could try Clockgen. Retail motherboards usually have better tweaking options than proprietary boards. With a good motherboard and cpu cooler, it is very easy to exceed your 2.95Ghz target. you probly wont notice the diff but its easy to overclock from 2.8 ghz to 2.95gz if you restart your pc and enter the bios you can usually go to voltage controlls and monkey with the clock speed you can confidantly go to probly 3 without any worries . the main thing to worrie about is temperature if you get a water cooed set up you can probly get to 4 ghz ive heard of people runing 2.66ghz pentium D805's at just over 4 ghz with water cooling. id read up on it thurogly befor you whent that for though. water and electricity........
