it depends on how you look at it, and the game... a lot of online games do not allow real money trading.
it is generally considered cheating, as you have done nothing (in game) to earn that money.
also it leads to poorly skilled players being in areas they are not ready for.
Example: if in Eve online i was to purchase a few billion isk (the in game currency) i could purchase a large ship and all the skills necessary to fly it, but if i take it out to where that sort of ship is suited for, because i have no idea how the ship should actually be used i get killed very quickly.
It is generally better to work on making an income in the game to support your style of play, as then when mis-haps occur you have can easily recover because you know how too.

I'm making good profit with penny stock
Check here http://trade-pennystock.checkhere.info
Many new investors are lured to the appeal of a penny stock due to the low price and potential for rapid growth which may be as high as several hundred percent in a few days. Similarly, severe loss can occur and many penny stocks lose all of their value in the long term. Accordingly, the SEC warns that penny stocks are high risk investments and new investors should be aware of the risks involved but you can even make very big money. These risks include limited liquidity, lack of financial reporting, and fraud. A penny stock is a common stock that trades for less than $5 a share. While penny stocks generally are quoted over-the-counter, such as on the OTC Bulletin Board or in the Pink Sheets, they may also trade on securities exchanges, including foreign securities exchanges. In addition, penny stocks include the securities of certain private companies with no active trading market. Although a penny stock is said to be "thinly traded," share volumes traded daily can be in the hundreds of millions for a sub-penny stock. Legitimate information on penny stock companies can be difficult to find and a stock can be easily manipulated.

Yes you do. Blizzard for example is chasing down Money and Gold sellers. You risk your account being suspended if you are caught selling or buying in-Game currency.
It disbalances the games economy.
In second life it depends on how you buy the money. You can officially buy Linden dollars for real money, since the game works that way. You can program items, that you sell for Linden Dollars, and convert them back to real money.

Complete waste of money. Instead of a second life, get a real life! Look up the "Rule of 72" and see what a dollar is worth if you invest it and save it.

Yes, because it gives you an unfair advantage over your fellow gamers who work hard to earn their gold. When you buy from goldfarmers, you're basically cheating. RPGs (MMO or other) take a LOT of hard work. If you're not willing to follow the rules and do the work like everyone else, then you shouldn't play the game.
