NO. Their teams suck now, why give them more?

I don't think it's good for MLB to keep building new franchises. Especially when people have been arguing that over the years some of the players who make the major league squads in Colorado and Tampa Bay haven't truly deserved to be there and wouldn't make the big leagues with most other franchises.

I'm not saying that a Rockies fan or a D-Rays fan doesn't deserve to have his or her favorite ballclub, but the more teams you add to league, the more the overall talent gets watered down while these new franchises build themselves up.

Only if MLB decides to move the Marlins do I think that anyone has a shot to pick up a new franchise. In which case I would believe that San Antonio has to compete with Portland, Oregon and Las Vegas to claim rights to a relocated franchise.

Personally I just think that the two teams in Texas need to put a better product out on the feild. All though keep in mind that the Astros are only 2 seasons removed from making the world series. I think the general opinion on them would be a little different had they won, instead of getting swept.

I'm from Texas and I say absolutely NO! The Dallas area doesn't deserve a team at all. The Texas Rangers have always been a dreadful franchise and will continue to be for a long time. The Rangers haven't made the playoffs since 1999, the year before they signed A Rod. That franchise hasn't taken a step in the right direction in more than a decade. The MLB should move the Rangers to Las Vegas.

Being from Houston, I feel I must take up for the Astros. Don't get me wrong, they disappoint me year after dreadful year. But a true fan will always support his/her team, not just when they're winning. And for the record, we consistently pack in around 36k on average every single game. If Texas were to get an expansion team, I do agree that the only market it would survive in would be San Antonio. However, I don't feel MLB would benefit at all by having any additional teams right now. Some definite changes should be made first.

I have to support my Astros like a few others cause I've been in Houston almost my whole life. But Texas isn't a huge baseball state. It's a football state. More so a few years ago when the Oilers were in Houston and don't forget the Cowboys dynasty. If any city/state could use a team and make money off of it, it would be Portland, Oregon to bring a 5th into the AL west.

No, I don't think that Texas would be able to support a third baseball team. The only possible city in which they could put another team is San Antonio, and that town belongs to the Spurs. Baseball in general is in no position to expand, as there are many teams out there struggling to bring fans to their stadiums as it is.

No, North Carolina needs one. If I remember correctly, North Carolina has more minor league ball clubs than every state with the exception of Florida and California. Just goes to show we love our baseball, and NC would be very appreciative of an MLB club.

Not a new one , but a re-located team , like the Marlins.

San Antonio?

No way!
There are already two of them in Texas!

Let the next one go to another state who doesn't have one yet!

Can we get rid of the sucky two first?

sigh... no, Texas does not need a third team.

NYC does, though.
