Remove the CMOS battery for a minute or two then put it back. The CMOS battery (looks like a silver coin) is removable/replaceable. Follow the instructions to remove battery in these links:

There is no software solution. Get one of your geek friends to help you if you feel uncomfortable doing it.

"Most motherboards synthetic over the final decade or extra use a battery to maintain the dynamic Bios/CMOS settings for the motherboards PROM chip. These dynamic settings are the ones manually set through both the desktops enterprise otherwise you, the person. There are 2 methods to erase those dynamic settings, through both resetting a jumper at the motherboard itself (known as a "transparent CMOS" jumper), or through bodily take away the energy from the pc (disconnecting the energy plug) after which casting off a battery (used to keep energy to the PROM chip that includes the Bios/CMOS know-how) from the motherboard. " SO... what you ought to do to reset the motherboard to haven't any password in any respect is: -Unplug the pc. -Remove the facet of the pc case -Remove the battery at the mom board. (it's going to seem like a giant watch battery) -Wait for approximately 30 seconds -Replace the battery -Put the facet of the case again on -Plug the pc in -Boot up. There will have to even be a little bit jumper that are supposed to reset the motherboard with out casting off the battery. But I generally simply take out the battery due to the fact its extra riskless.

shutdown the computer and open the side cover, pull out the power cable from the cpu and then remove the battery ( a small silver round one ) from the motherboard. Wait for a minute and then refix the battery properly.

Then put the power cable back to the cpu and switch on the computer. It should not ask for the password.

There is a jumper on the motherboard but the easiest way is to remove the motherboard battery for about 30 sec.

1. Open your computer then look for the battery (like on wristwatch)

2. remove it, then after 10 sec put it back.

Your Bios is now reset.
