no way does L.A. have over 22million

Well according to the US census in 2005, LA itself has about 4 million people. This was two years ago, so obviously the population has grown, but I highly doubt it has grown to over 22 million. The radio commercials must have been very lenient when they say "around LA" since 22 million is a very large amount of people.

It wouldn't surprise me. I left the Southern CA area 17 years ago and it was about 10 million then. Check to see how far the population of Mexico has dropped ☺

Yes, and it's growing daily with illegal immigrants coming up from Mexico...southern california is now known as CALEXICO.
