Help With Synthetic Division Please?

Question

1. (x cubed-2x-5x+6)/(x-3)
2. (x cubed - 5x squared-x+5)/(x-5)
3. (2x cubed-5xsuqared-4x+3)/(x+1)
4. (2xcubed-3xsquared-3x+2)/(x-2)
5. (a to the fourth power - 1)/ (a-1)
Can you explain how to do them cuz i dont get it.

Answer 1

1. x^3-2x-5x+3 /(x+3)
x^3-7x+3 / (x+3)
Ans: (x-6)(x+3)

First:
First, write the coefficients ONLY inside an upside-down division symbol; make sure you leave room underneath to write another row of numbers later

2nd :
Put the test zero, x = 1, at the left:

3rd:
Carry down the first number, representing the leading coefficient
4th:Multiply this by the test zero, and carry the result up into the next column then add the column

then repeat the steps until u get the ans.
