How do you spend the time with your children?

When they were little it was total quantity. THEY were my life. Now that they were older I must confess that they have some how gotten their own lives and we spend much less quality time together. We tend to sit and talk to our individual friends on the phone/computer or watch TV. I have to get them TOTALLY alone to be able to get any quality stuff done.

I'm doing the quality bit but I should spend a lot of quantity time with my kids as well. We do make time but it seems we are always getting caught up in the mudane things like house hold jobs and work.

Well when my children were small I would talk to them and let them know I would always listen and Now that they are grown I still stay involved (sometimes I feel like I am snooping but really I am concerned) and they do really like it cause usually if there is a problem than they don't have to spend hours bring me up to par. I believe listening to children and teenagers even when they don't want you to is very important because it shows them you will make time even if they don't think it is important so when it is they know you will be there

I'd like to say Quality, but I'd be lying.
I don't even get quantity at the moment. They are busy with school, me at work. I estimate we get about 1 hour of quality time per day per child. Sucks.

Quality has to be the factor in my life- I work full time, am a single mom and own my home. We make it count when we have time together!

i don't have kids yet but i think that quality is better.
