I have heard there is a law if your a depressed person you can have a dog. Is this true? I live in Oregon and if so is there a web site?

I don't think someone with depression should be given a service dog. I think these should only be given to people that are blind, or physically handicapped. These people are on waiting lists for a long time in order to get one.

emmm.. I don't know for sure about Oregon, but I know that most places out here that have a no pet policy, will accept a note from a doctor saying that you need it.. The problem is that it would have to be an extreme case for most doctor's to write it.. (and they will most likely charge more for you to rent with a dog.. either up front, or a small charge per month)

called service dogs. but of course you have to live in a place that allows dogs. can't force a landlord to allow dogs. and if required you will need to post a "pet deposit."
