Depends on the pair. It could be sex if: 1) you like each other but there's always a weird sexual tension that you never do anything about, 2) you do something about it and it's too weird after, 3) the attraction is one-sided or 4) a friend has sex with their friend's significant other.

All that aside, I've seen a lot of college friendships crumble over money as the two friends get jobs and one makes a lot more than the other. The financial divide can be really awkward as one person's circle of friends, social activities and shopping habits change.

The other thing that can kill a friendship is geography. If one person moves away and their lives change so completely it is really hard to catch up or stay connected; you just grow apart.

All that said, I guess I'd have to agree with you about sex - there are just too many ways for it to go all wrong!

TRUE friends will experience alot. I have some great people who are friends. One in particular. We would kill for each other, and we would go broke for one another if we had to. We have beaten the heII out of each other before, but when the dust settles, our friendship has gotten stronger. He is a guy too, so sex obviously is not an issue here.

TRUE friendship will endure anything, so if it is a true friend, nothing... absolutely NOTHING will ruin what you have with that person. NOTHING.

The same should probably be said for true love, but I wouldn't know, because I have never been truly loved.
